TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The new animated movie TMNT opened this past weekend, and it did so well that at the end of the weekend it was in the number one spot. On opening day the movie grossed $8.7 million according to ShowBIZ Data. It is estimated that the movie had a weekend total of $25.45 million [s], which actual is roughly where the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live action movie opened back in 1990 [s]. Although the ninja turtles don't fall under the original category of super heroes that I had in mind when I began this blog, I thought that news like this was note worthy enough to mention.

    So did you go see it? Any impressions you'd like to share? I am skeptical about this installment. Just as I have been with the first live action movies featuring TMNT. Talking turtles that surf the sewer systems and eat pizza in unhealthy amounts?

    Does that even work in 2007? Apparently it does according to the numbers after the premiere.
